Our very first eBook is now available, and it’s called “Getting Started with Painter.” The book is a compilation of the best Corel Painter tutorials published during the first two years, here on Digital Image Magazine. If you’re looking to dive into Painter and get over the learning curve quickly, this is a great place to start. Includes all of the photos used for the lessons, so you can follow along. Also included with your purchase: Bob’s Brushes. These are the 7 custom brushes I’ve developed for my own work. They are used in the lessons.
Topics covered include:
An introduction to Painter’s interface, setting up your workspace, how to create your own custom palettes and brushes, how cloning works, basic portrait painting techniques, using paper textures, painting curly and shiny hair, painting clouds, tips for getting a painterly look from photographs, how to colorize antique photos, pet portraits in pastel, how layers work, and more.
