I think you&#039;re talking about the little animated brush thing? That&#039;s supposed to help you visual how the brush is oriented in space (tilted, angled, etc.) You can turn it off if it bothers you. Open the Brush palette, and you&#039;ll see three icons at the very bottom. Click on the first one to toggle it off. 

I don&#039;t find this feature helpful, myself.
